Scheduled departures to Yelapa leave daily from different locations in the Puerto Vallarta area. Good News! There is now a Yelapa Office in Vallarta, which is located at the end of the Los Muertos Pier. The office is there to assist visitors with your travel to Yelapa. Go on in and speak to Sergio, or Roger, and check out the services that they have to offer. The office is closed on Sundays. Travel to Yelapa is increasing greatly every year and space on a water taxi is often limited. It is highly recommended that you purchase your tickets early from them. The price of the Water Taxi is 120 pesos one way, or 220 pesos roundtrip. The price of the Water Taxi trip does include your baggage, but only that of which you can carry. If you have extra baggage, you will be required to pay a little extra. The extra payment will be dependent on how many bags, and how large / heavy they are. For transport of larger cargo please make prior arrangements. It is best to be a little bit ahead of time to ensure that you do not miss the boat, as they do sometimes leave earlier than the scheduled departure time. | ||||||
Resident Cards | ||||||
If you are staying more than a month in Yelapa, a resident card can be purchased at the Yelapa Office in Vallarta located at the Los Muertos pier, or with the palapainyelapa office in Yelapa, located at the south end of the main beach. This card entitles you to the discounted Yelapense rate of 90 pesos each person, each direction. Cost of the card is 100 pesos. | ||||||
